Return both of and to Corbin's Bend

There is big exciting news for fans of the multi-author fictional spanking community-based series, Corbin's Bend. It's coming back! Oh yes, indeedy.

It was on the internet and everything.
And to get us all in the mood for more Colorado-based DD deliciousness, Blushing Books have re-released all the original Corbin's Bend novels as box sets. Available for your reading pleasure are:

and

I'm going to focus on the second book, Return to Corbin's Bend, because that's the one that has my book, East End Girl, in it. And, you know me. I'm all about shameless self-promotion.

Wouldn't this book look perfect on your virtual coffee table?
East End Girl is the story of Kirsty Logan who ups sticks from London and moves 3000 miles to Colorado in pursuit of the perfect spanky lifestyle in Corbin's Bend. It doesn't work out quite as she expects and she struggles to fit in. Her self-destructive behaviour threatens her whole future in the community. But the lovely spankos of Corbin's Bend - and one especially lovely spanko in particular - help her to find herself. Not entirely through the medium of spanking, I hasten to add. But there are a lot of spankings in it. I know you expect nothing less.

The especially lovely spanko's name is Logan.
There are seven other amazing books in this collection by amazing authors like Constance Masters, Tara Finnegan and Maren Smith. I have reviewed the books in this collection here. And here. Also here. I talk about this series a lot, to be honest.

So while we all twiddle our thumbs in impatient expectation for the next Corbin's Bend arrivals, reacquaint yourselves with the heroes and heroines, spankers and spankees, Heads of Household and Takens in Hand of Corbin's Bend.

And if you haven't read any Corbin's Bend yet. My goodness, you have a lot of catching up to do.

New Release! The Perfect Housewife

Good news, everyone! Last year's Corbin's Bend Valentine-fest Love In The Rockies are being released this month as stand-alone books.

This means that my contribution, The Perfect Housewife is now available for sale!

Buy it now!
Unless you already purchased the full Love In The Rockies collection.
n which case, definitely don't. Because it's exactly the same.

The Perfect Housewife continues Logan and Kirsty's story after we left them in East End Girl. Our heroes are still together and still trying to make their Domestic Discipline lifestyle work. Something that doesn't always come naturally to feisty, independent Kirsty.

In the snippet below, Logan has admitted that he has screwed up and hurt Kirsty's feelings. Although he has apologised, Kirsty wonders if there should be further consequences.

“So what happens now?” she asked.
“How do you mean?”
“Well you admitted that you did wrong in leaping to the conclusion that you did, you’ve said sorry and that you won’t do it again.”
“Is that not enough?”
“Well, it isn’t when I have done something wrong. I get a punishment spanking as well.”Logan pulled back from the hug so that they were at arm’s length from one another and looked at her questioningly. “You want to spank me?”
Kirsty frowned. The idea wasn’t appealing at all. “Maybe not,” she conceded. “But it is a bit unfair, isn’t it? There’s two people in this relationship and yet if I do something wrong, I get my backside warmed like an errant child and if you do something wrong, you just get to apologize and move on. I feel like I’m setting back Women’s Rights sixty years sometimes. Aren’t we supposed to be equal partners?”
Logan ran his finger down the side of her face and kissed her softly on her cheek.  “I guess it’s something we will just need to keep working on and discussing. We’re still figuring all of this out. I don’t want you to think that I get to discipline you just because I’m a man and you are my woman. I tell you what though. You don’t get to spank me. Not ever. That’s not how this thing works. If you think the rules of spanking are unfair, then we will have to even it up the other way.”
“The other way?”
“Yes. I stop giving you spankings.” Kirsty gave an involuntarily squeak of protest.
Logan smiled. “I’m guessing that you don’t like that idea much?”
“No, not at all. You know that. I mean I always knew that I liked being spanked but I really had no idea quite how much until I met you. Nothing ever feels as right as it does when you have me bent over for a spanking.”
“I know. It feels pretty right to me too. That’s why I give the spankings and you get spanked. It’s nothing to do with my imposing my will over you because you’re female. We’re just wired this way. And much as I enjoy the sexy spankings, I think the Domestic Discipline side of things is an important part of it too. We take our kink and use it to make our relationship stronger.”
Kirsty furrowed her brow. “Hmm. You make a convincing case there, mister. Still not convinced you should be allowed to screw up and get away with it scot free though. Tell you what, maybe next time I do something wrong, I should be granted amnesty on my punishment. Like a free pass.”
Logan chuckled. “Not a chance, sweetie. You screw up and you’re going straight over my knee, having your backside swatted until it’s bright red and hot enough to fry eggs on.”
Kirsty smiled. When he put it like that, it didn’t sound that bad at all.

The whole collection are available for sale now. So if you haven't spend Valentines in the the world's best spanking community. You should probably start now.

Saturday Spankings - "The 4 D’s of domestic discipline - disobedience, disrespect, dishonesty and dangerous behavior"

Like Saturdays? Like Spanking? Well, you're in luck.
Fearsome

It's Saturday and that means it's another weekly excursion into the world of corporal punishment. This weekly bloghop is orchestrated by the fearsome Headmistress Blake. You don't want to mess with this lady. She has a paddle-shaped tardy board and everything.

This week's Saturday Spanking snippet is Corbin's Bend-themed. This because the release of the fourth season of the multi-author spanking community series is almost upon  us.

Sadly, you are just slightly too late to pre-order the fourth season. (Unless of course, you already have. In which case, well done you! You are all kinds of sorted.) However, you don't have long to wait for some Corbin's Bend Season Four Spanky action. Ruth Staunton's The Man She Wanted is on sale next Wednesday 28th October.

Ruth Staunton's previous Corbin's Bend book Learning to Live Again was absolutely delightful. I am really looking forward to reading her next contribution to the Corbin's Bend series.

My contribution to the Corbin's Bend oeuvre (yes, I did just use the word 'oeuvre' unironically and quite possibly incorrectly*, there) was Season Two's East End Girl.

Available for purchase NOW!
Actually, it's been available for bloody ages. What on earth have you been waiting for?
Logan Barrett is an old-fashioned kind of guy. He comes from a family where Domestic Discipline is the norm and has moved to Corbin's Bend in the hopes of finding the sweet, compliant, submissive woman of his dreams. Instead, he runs into loud-mouthed, opinionated, sweary Londoner, Kirsty Beale.

Logan has attempted a Domestic Discipline-based relationship in the past. It didn't end well.

Talking about Caitlin was still a painful subject. She'd seemed to be everything Logan had ever wanted in a girl - demure, well-mannered, thoughtful. When Logan had suggested that they try domestic discipline within their relationship she had agreed to give it a try.
They had read domestic discipline websites together and put rules in place; Logan was anxious that Caitlin wasn’t agreeing to anything that she didn’t feel comfortable with and yet the domestic discipline aspect never really worked. On the occasions when Logan had punished Caitlin, rather than the punishment signaling the end of the matter, it had triggered resentful looks and a bad feeling from Caitlin that would last for days.
During their conversations she had agreed to accept a spanking if she broke one of their main rules relating to the 4 D’s of domestic discipline - disobedience, disrespect, dishonesty, or dangerous behavior and yet whenever the time had come to administer punishments, Caitlin treated him as though he were a monster. Things had come to a head when he had admitted that inflicting pain on her turned him on.
That was the final straw as far as Caitlin was concerned, she'd had a hard enough time accepting the spankings as it was, when she found out that administering them was a sexual turn-on for Logan, she had ended the relationship.
Do things work out better for Logan this time once he starts dating Kirsty? Well, yeah, obviously they do. It would be a bloody miserable book otherwise.

Check out Corbin's Bend Season Four's contribution to the Saturday Spanking bloghop below. And check out everybody else while you're at it. Because they are all awesome.

Saturday Spankings - “You want to take this further?”

Saturday Spankings: The Blog

Hello Saturday Spank fans!

Did you know that there are now THIRTY Corbin's Bend books? Or somewhere between twenty-six and thirty-four depending on how you count them, anyway. I'm going with thirty because it's a nice round number and includes all three seasons, the specials but doesn't include the box sets.

That's pretty bloody impressive body of work from a whole bunch of excellent spanky authors including (amongst many others) Maggie Ryan, Maren Smith, Ruth Staunton, Constance Masters and Thianna D. Especially Thianna D in fact, who has masterminded the whole Corbin's Bend series from the get go.

She must be very proud of what she has achieved so far. And she doesn't seem to be planning to quit any time soon as a fourth season has now been promised!

The spanking literally does not stop in the Bend.
My - very small - contribution to the Corbin's Bend series was my Corbin's Bend Season Two book, East End Girl in which Londoner Kirsty Beale finds life in a new country 3000 miles away from home a little harder to adjust to than she originally anticipated.

Luckily she has very sexy Logan Barrett to take her mind off things. They have been enjoying one another's company for a while now and things are about to get a lot sexier.
“You want to take this further?”
“Oh God, yes!”
He pulled her t-shirt over her head and then frowned when she began to giggle.
“Sorry,” she said, putting her hand over her mouth. “It just occurred to me that I don’t know whether taking things further with you means sex or spanking.”
Logan pushed his hand underneath the fabric of her lacy push-up bra and squeezed her breast slightly, enjoying the feeling of her soft body against the rougher skin of his hands. “Trust me, Kirsty, with you, it definitely means both.”

I Love You

This is my 'I' post for the Spanking A-Z Blog Challenge. "What's that?" you ask. Check out my page here for more information and a list of all the wonderful bloggers taking part.

Yeah, you've got one too many letters there, squire. Are you taking this game of Scrabble seriously or what?
"I love you". Three little words with a colossal amount of significance in romantic novels. Probably in real life too, if you aren't a cynical unromantic curmudgeon like me.

When I searched for the phrase on my Kindle, I discovered that the Corbin's Bend Valentine's Collection Love in the Rockies had an impressive number of "I love you"s within its covers.

So here you go, let's get soppy and romantic and enjoy some Valentine-y snippets from the world's very best spanking community.

Valentine's Surprise - Constance Masters
Zach kept smacking for a couple more minutes.  “I love you. I want you to have some fun. Do you think that’s going to be possible?” He smacked the creases where her bottom met her thighs.
Erin nodded miserably, tears streaming down her face. “I’ll-ll try.”
Zach helped her to stand and pulled her into his arms, kissing her lightly. “Good girl. Go and wash your face.”

Pinning her with one hand, he rested his injured leg around her thighs and stilled her fighting. “Do you want to safeword?”
“No,” she murmured. “No.”
Roy lifted her robe, exposing the long flannel nightie she’d worn in deference to the cold night. He caressed her bottom through its softness. “I love you so much.” He folded the nightgown up to expose her bare buttocks. Teri never slept in panties. One of her many good points.

Past Interference - Kathryn R Blake
He drew back to gaze at her. “Do you have doubts?”
Her shoulders rose in a casual shrug. “Only a couple of thousand of them.”
“That you love me?”
She cupped his face. “No. No. No. I love you wholly, completely and entirely, but I don’t understand how you could love me. I’m damaged goods.”
Frowning, he gave her nose a tap. “We’ve discussed this, Elly. Many times. You were not at fault for your divorce or the things your husband did.”
“I know, but – ”
“No, Elly. There are no buts in this. I love you. I have loved you since the first day I watched you playing in the dog park with your tiny ball of yipping fluff. You, my fragile angel, are the closest thing to perfection I will ever know and I intend to spend the rest of my life proving it to you.”

 Unexpected Surprises - Ruth Staunton
Without asking, Grant – bless him – had gone into the kitchen and poured her a glass of wine.
When he set it on the table in front of her, she smiled up at him. “I knew there was a reason I love you.”
“That’s a good thing,” he told her, tipping her chin up and dropping a kiss on her lips, “because I love you too.
“Gross,” Kathleen squawked good-naturedly. “Get a room.”

Knowing What She Wants - Thianna D
“Hey.” Char’s voice had a quality he was well aware of. She was stressed, pissed and trying to hide it from their little girl.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, honey,” he said warmly. “A third of the community is still without power, but the power company assures us it’ll be on by noon.”
“And you’ll be home then?”
“I will. I’ve got plans.”
A soft laugh crossed the line. “I love you, Brent Carmichael. Sometimes, I wonder why but I do love you.”
Grinning, he leaned back in his chair. “You love me for my hard hand and the fact I can make you laugh. Admit it.”
A real laugh tinkled in his ear. “You got me. I miss you today. We’re never apart on Valentine’s Day.”

So guess which is the ONLY story in the collection that doesn't contain the phrase "I love you"? Yup, that'd be my contribution The Perfect Housewife.

It's not that my protagonists don't love one another, you understand. They are clearly very much in love. As I hope the following excerpt from the end of the book demonstrates. They just choose to use slightly different language to communicate their love for one another.

The Perfect Housewife - Etta Stark
Logan ran his hand through his hair agitatedly. “Aw hell, I was going to wait until after dinner but there’s no way I can stand the suspense that long.”
“What on earth are you…” began Kirsty and then gave a squeak of surprise as Logan got down on one knee in front of her and pulled a small square box from his pants pocket.
“Kirsty,” he said. “I hope this isn’t too sudden for you. I know we’ve only just moved in together but I also know that you’re the most amazing person I have ever met and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you.” He opened the box revealing a white gold diamond ring and took a deep breath. “Will you marry me?”
“Holy fucking shit,” gasped Kirsty.
Logan quirked an eyebrow. “’Holy fucking shit’? Is that your answer?”
“No!” blurted Kirsty. “I mean, no, it isn’t my answer not no, I won’t marry you. Because I totally will do that.”
“So that’s a ‘yes’?” asked Logan, still looking a little unsure.
“Of course it’s a fucking yes, you idiot!” said Kirsty gleefully. “Give me my ring!”
Logan stood and, smiling, slipped the ring onto the third finger of Kirsty’s left hand. “So when our grandchildren ask about how we decided to get married, am I going to tell them that your considered response was ‘Of course it’s a fucking yes, you idiot’?”

I am however making a note to include the words "I love you" in my current works in progress. It's a lovely phrase and should be used as much as possible.

Love in the Rockies. Not just for Valentine's Day

East End Girl

This is my 'E' post for the Spanking A-Z Blog Challenge. "What's that?" you ask. Check out my page here for more information and a list of all the wonderful bloggers taking part.
E is for Etta! E is for East End Girl! You have to buy this book

The title of my Corbin's Bend book East End Girl refers to the East End of London. I was determined that if I was going to write a story set in Colorado with a whole bunch of American characters, I was at least going to make life easy for myself by making my heroine English.

You're all aware of Eastenders, I take it? It's one of the two most popular soap operas in the UK. Eastenders and Coronation Street (set in, you know, The North somewhere) battle against one another furiously during the annual soap awards. There's probably fisticuffs.

"You can't tell me what to do, you ain't my muvver!"
"Yes, I am!"

That's the world where our heroine, Kirsty, comes from. Although with fewer explosions in her life, hopefully. I always suspect that Americans consider all British people to be super-posh types who talk like Mary Poppins*. I wanted to create a heroine who was the antithesis of that. In fact, during the course of the story, Kirsty's late father's decidedly criminal career path comes back to haunt her.

There was a man standing by a parked car just outside the shop. Kirsty didn’t immediately recognize him but thought he looked both familiar to her and wrong in the current setting.
He looked about fifty, wore a large overcoat and had short black hair shaved at the sides. When he saw Kirsty his face broke into a smile. It wasn’t a friendly smile. He looked like a predator about to attack.
“Well, well, well. Little Kirsty Beale. I’d heard you’d moved out this way. I want a word with you about your old man.”
As soon as she heard the man’s east London accent, Kirsty recognized him. Jack Catch a ‘business’ associate of her late father’s. No wonder he looked out of place in their current location. She had only ever seen him in her dad’s flat back home. There he would arrive with stolen goods for her dad to fence and a negotiation style that was always vaguely threatening even when he was pretending to be friendly.
“What are you doing here, Jack?” she asked.
“That’d be Mr. Catch to you. Anyway, don’t get your knickers in a twist. I’m just passing through. Had some business to attend to in Denver and someone told me you’d move to this little pervert village nearby and I thought ought to come and say ‘hello’.”
“You’ve just come to say ’hello’?” Kirsty asked.
“Nah. Don’t be daft. Like I said, I want a word with you about your dad. Me and Vince had some unfinished business when he snuffed it. He was looking after some money for me.”
“Was he now?” Kirsty stiffened. She had no idea where all the money in her dad’s bank account had come from but she wasn’t about to let her uncertainty be apparent to Jack Catch.
“We’d just done a job, me and the boys and Vince was selling on the goods. Didn’t have a chance to give us our cut did he before he croaked it. So I’m here to collect.”
“Bollocks is it yours. You’d have asked for it a fuck of a sight quicker if it had been. You’d have shown up before Dad’s body had even gone cold.”
Jack strode forward and grabbed Kirsty’s neck. “I don’t like your fucking tone, miss,” he said sharply. “Don’t they beat women in this place? Isn’t that what it’s all about? How about my boys here give you a beating you won’t forget in a hurry, see if that makes you a little bit more cooperative?”

Although Kirsty misses her London life (dodgy criminal acquaintances of her late father notwithstanding), she totally learns to love her life in Corbin's Bend. It takes a while and it definitely involves some spankings but she gets there in the end.

* I'm not from the East End of London, incidentally. I live in Surrey** and I do sound a bit like Mary Poppins. Please don't let that get in the way of any kind of point I was trying to make.

** I think Surrey is only really internationally famous for being the place where Harry Potter's uncle and aunt lived***

*** They didn't shoot those scenes for the movie in Surrey, by the way. Outside shots for the Dursley residence were shot in Berkshire. I know this because it was just down the road from my friend's house. When she told us they were shooting the Harry Potter film in the next street, we were all "Oh my god! That's so exciting." Then she said it was for the Dursley's house. Cue lots of lacklustre "Um, that's still good" responses..

Note: This book is now available as part of the Box Set Return to Corbin's Bend

Saturday Spankings - "She could not possibly be expected to take any more"

Yeah, the usual SatSpanks pictures comes with crowns and riding crops this week. I think it's some kind of "Triple Crown" horseriding thing. Doesn't explain why there's FOUR crowns, mind.

Hello Spankos!

It's that that time of the week again when we are literally ALL about the Spanking snippets.

Let's carry on from where we left off last time, shall we?

This snippet is from my Corbin's Bend book East End Girl. Kirsty - a hitherto 'sexy spanks only' girl is receiving her first purely disciplinary spanking from her boyfriend, Logan.

Each thwack of the paddle felt like it was generating pain right down to her very bones.
Every time the paddle was brought down, Kirsty thought it must be the last blow she could possibly stand. That she could not possibly be expected to take any more. Yet Logan brought the paddle down again and she found that she could withstand it. But only just.
She was sobbing unreservedly. The bed beneath her face was soaked with her tears. She wanted to scream at him to stop. She felt like she would do anything to make him stop. Except - it turned out – actually ask him to. She needed him to know that she could willingly submit to any punishment he thought necessary.

Want more of this sort of thing? Buy the book!

Saturday Spankings - "Ow!"

Saturday Spankings Bloghop: "If you're a reader who likes stories with with a touch of corporal punishment, this is the hop for you."
Hello spankos! It's Saturday again and quite frankly, it's not a proper Saturday without eight(ish) sexy sentences of a spanky nature. (Well maybe it is for some people. But those people's Saturdays could be improved hugely with some awesome spanky snippets because the stuff my fellow bloghoppers post is usually super hot!)

Last week I included a snippet where East End Girl's Kirsty was being instructed by Logan to get into position for her first disciplinary spanking. Let's see how that spanking goes, shall we?

Spankings! Romance! Spankings!
The crack of the paddle hitting her flesh was far louder than Kirsty had anticipated. The loud retort made her jump before she had even registered the pain of the first swat. As soon as the sting of the swat hit home her attention was entirely focused on that. “Ow!” she cried as Logan brought the paddle down again and again over her exposed bottom.
The pain was completely different from anything that she had experienced during their previous spankings. There was no give in the unforgiving plastic and each thwack of the paddle made her cry out in pain. The speed at which Logan was cracking the paddle against her backside, gave her no chance to get used to the swats before the next one came crashing down.
Kirsty grabbed the bed sheets in her fists as she cried out in pain, willing herself not to move from the position she had been told to get into. She wanted to demonstrate that she could take this punishment willingly. That she knew she deserved it.

And if for some reason you managed to miss the whole of Corbin's Bend Season 2 and want to rectify that massive gaping hole in your life - especially as Corbin's Bend Season 3 is now underway - you can purchase boxsets of the second season - Part One (which has my book in it) and Part Two (which doesn't). I'm not saying my book is the best one but it is definitely the one with the most amount of swearing.

Go on. You deserve it.

Saturday Spanking - “I want that butt to be higher.”

I wonder why Saturday Spankings Man doesn't use those GIANT SPOONS that are hovering nearby.
They'd get the job done awesomely.
Happy Saturday Spank Day!

Season 3 of Corbin's Bend is here! The tireless Thianna D is once again asserting herself as Number 1 Corbin's Bend Lady by providing the story that will kickstart the brand, shiny new season of books about everyone's favourite Spanking-Specific Housing Co-operative.

His Damsel in Distress is available from all the very best booksellers. I have just bought my copy. I am so looking forward to reading it. I feel like it's a thing that everybody should be into. Like how people talk about Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones in the kitchen at work. I should be able to say "And there's a new Corbin's Bend book out!" and co-workers would be "I know! I've finished it already but I'm not going to spoil the ending for you."

So, given that I'm all Corbin's Bend-y right now, have a snippet from my own contribution to the series, East End Girl.  Although Kirsty and Logan have enjoyed all manner of fun, sexy spankings, Kirsty is about to receive her first purely disciplinary spanking.

You know that voice that's saying "You should buy this book RIGHT NOW"?
Listen to that voice.

“Take off your jeans and panties and lie down on the bed,” he said.
She did as she was told, fumbling with her zipper in her nervousness, then she lay face down in the center of the bed with her smooth creamy-colored butt presented to him. Logan stood at the side of the bed. “Scoot this way a bit,” he said. Kirsty complied, awkwardly maneuvering herself to the edge of the bed where Logan would have easier access to her.
He looked at her lying prostrate and then took a couple of pillows from the top of the bed. He passed them to Kirsty. “Put these underneath your pelvis,” he instructed. “I want that butt to be higher.”

Saturday Spanks - 'That was beyond kinky, surely.'

I like to think of Satspank man as 'Nigel'. "Go on, Nigel! Give her what for!"
Hello. my fellow kinksters! Welcome once again to Saturday Spankings, the weekly bloghop that's de rigueur for all spanky fiction fans.

My snippet this week comes from my story The Perfect Housewife which is part of the Corbin's Bend Love In The Rockies collection.

Kirsty has chosen to make her boyfriend Logan's Valentine's Day extra special by dressing up as a sexy, submissive 1950's housewife. Logan is enjoying the game immensely.

Logan stayed stretched back in his chair and watched her make the coffee. When she handed him his cup he nodded to the pile of dirty crockery and cutlery by the kitchen sink. “Go on then,” he said. “Get on with it.”
“You want to watch me do the washing up?”
“Yup.”
“I was going to stack it all in the dishwasher in the morning.”
“Nope. I want you to do it now. And I want you to do it by hand. The old-fashioned way.”
Kirsty stared. Did he really mean to say that his housewife fantasy consisted of her doing actual housework? That was beyond kinky, surely.
Still, she shrugged inwardly, tonight was all about fulfilling his fantasies. If he wanted to
watch her scrub a bunch of dirty dishes then so be it. She moved towards the sink.
“Do you have an apron to put on?” asked Logan.
“Drat, no,” said Kirsty, crestfallen. Why hadn’t she bought a frilly apron? It would have finished off her 1950s housewife look perfectly. She felt quite annoyed at herself.
Logan didn’t seem to mind.  “No matter,” he said, walking towards her. “It would be a shame if you got your pretty dress all wet, though.” He made a twirling motion with his fingers indicating that she should turn round. Kirsty complied and he unzipped her dress at the back then pulled it down her body, supporting Kirsty as she stepped out of it. Folding the dress over his arm he looked her up and down and smiled.

Make sure you go and check out Love In The Rockies, if you haven't already. It has some wonderful stories by some wonderful authors including the always awesome Thianna D and Constance Masters.

Pictured: Lovin' In The Rockies

Six blazing good stories about Six of our favorite couples. What happens in Corbin's Bend during the most loving of all holidays?

Valentine's Surprise by Constance Masters
Erin and Zach have had a busy but happy year. Her loving husband has promised her an amazing Valentine’s Day weekend. Will the surprise be the best she's ever gotten? Or will this particular white elephant gift go down as the worst Valentine's Day gift in the history of bad gifts?

Roy & Teri's Staycation by Kate Richards
Roy and Teri Simms are finally going to take their vacation and renew their romance! With their adopted son Ben safely stowed with neighbors for a week, they are taking a romantic cruise to the Caribbean and this time Teri is on board with the plan. But one thing after another happens to keep them from leaving town. Will they still be able to find any time to try out all the new toys? Or will the constant interruptions result in spanking interruptus?

Past Interference by Kathryn R. Blake
When Jerry Douglas asks Elly Benson to marry him, he wants their ceremony to be as close to Valentine's Day as possible. Though Elly tearfully accepts Jerry's proposal without hesitation, as she readies herself for her second wedding, the doubts and misgivings of any new bride-to-be are exacerbated by the abuse she suffered during her first marriage. Though she's lived with Jerry for four months now, and been subject to his discipline more than once, her first husband had been kind and careful with her, too, in the beginning. At least until she vowed to love, honor and obey him. Will they get to their I-dos, or will Elly’s past interfere just when things are going good?

The Perfect Housewife by Etta Stark
Kirsty Beale may be less wild and destructive than she used to be but she's still a long way off from being the perfect housewife. Since moving in with her boyfriend Logan - and spending time with Logan's very traditional family - Kirsty has begun to worry that she isn't the traditional homemaker that Logan would like her to be. Will Valentine’s Day be the perfect opportunity to let Logan enjoy the pleasures of having a perfect old-fashioned wife - if only for one night?

Unexpected Surprises by Ruth Staunton
For their first Valentine's Day in Corbin's Bend, Grant Taylor is determined to do something special for his wife Lainie. Lainie, however, has plans of her own. When Grant insists she cut back on her heavy load, she agrees under protest. But when the time comes to fulfill that agreement, she changes her mind and decides Grant is being unreasonable. She determines to chaperone the dance anyway and deal with Grant later. Unfortunately, Lainie's plan doesn't work out quite like she intended it to and she is in for quite a few unexpected surprises.

Knowing What She Needs by Thianna D.
While Charmagne Kendle loves Brent Carmichael to pieces, his innate need to help others is a thorn in her side. Especially on Valentine’s Day. When she wakes up to find him gone, it puts her in a really bad mood, one that just gets darker by the hour. Once Brent calms her down with a spanking and a night of passionate lovemaking, he gives her the best gift she ever could have received. Just when things get on an even keel again, help is needed from the man she loves. Char has a choice to make: Accept it willingly. Or Detonate. One decision controls their future. Spanky Valentines Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Well, those of you who celebrate it, anyway. Of course the really cool people don't bother with the consumerist celebration  of romantic cliches headed by the Patron Saint of beekeepers and epileptics.

Why yes, I am single. What was your first clue?

I forgot to sign up to Saturday Spankings this week because I am rubbish. Especially rubbish this week given that Valentine's Day is the best day possible to mention Love In The Rockies, the Valentines Day-themed Corbin's Bend boxset featuring stories by Constance Masters, Kate Richards, Thianna D, Kathryn R Blake and Ruth Staunton. And me, of course.

All the stories in the collection feature characters from previous Corbin's Bend books and are all themed on Valentines Day. So it's pretty much beekeeping and epilepsy all the way.

If you haven't read it yet, go on and buy it now. You deserve it. It can be a Valentine's gift to yourself. Everyone knows they're the very best kind of Valentine gifts.

Not only is there Love In The Rockies to get you all Valentinesy and Corbin's Bendsy, there's also a lovely Corbin's Bend story My Charming Valentine by Maggie Ryan which right now costs absolutely zero dollars to purchase (that's equal to zero pounds in British money, UK readers.)

Of course, some people choose to spend Valentine's Day doing this sort of thing.
Which is fine if you're into naked kissing. Can't see the appeal myself.

So let's have a snippet from The Perfect Housewife, my contribution to the collection featuring Kirsty and Logan from East End Girl.

This takes place about a week before Valentine's Day. Kirsty is about to be punished.
Logan sat down on the edge of the bed and beckoned Kirsty towards him. She stood in front of him her eyes nervously darting to the paddle which lay on the bed. Logan grabbed hold of the back of Kirsty’s thighs and pulled her closer. He unbuttoned the tight black pants she was wearing and then pulled down the zipper. He yanked her pants down to her knees and then pushed her panties down to meet them.
“Lie over my lap,” he commanded.
Kirsty awkwardly positioned herself over his knees, the clothing bunched at her knees making it difficult to maneuver herself.
Once she was over, Logan pushed her head down further towards the ground so that her butt was raised high in the air. “I’m going to give you twelve swats,” he told her. “I want you to count them out loud.”
Kirsty gave the smallest of nods and within seconds the first swat of the paddles came crashing down on her naked backside. “One,” she said.
“One, sir.” said Logan.
“One, sir,” said Kirsty. Logan had never insisted that she call him ‘sir’ before but given the position she was currently in, she wasn’t about to argue with him.
A second blow came swiftly down forcefully hitting the other cheek. “Two, sir,” said Kirsty, gasping slightly. The paddle didn’t just hurt where it struck her flesh, the pain seemed to right down to her bones. She wondered how on earth she was going to withstand ten more. Logan brought the paddle swiftly down on the lower part of her buttocks. The force of the swat brought tears to Kirsty’s eyes and she instinctively gripped hold of Logan’s leg. It took a moment for her to manage to get any words out at all. When the pain had subsided just enough for her to speak, she counted the blow as she had been told to. “Three, sir.”
Come on, you can do this, she reassured herself, you’ve had worse spankings before

Have a wonderful Saturdays, everyone, doing whatever it is that makes you happiest. Personally, I'm just happy that I've managed to avoid being told off by Corbin's Bend author-wrangler, Thianna D. I'm not sure what the consequences would have been for failing to mention Love in The Rockies on Valentines Day but given the woman's taste in paddles, I really don't think I would be willing to risk finding out.

It's called the tenderizer. For obvious reasons.
