Roleplay

This is my 'R' post for the Spanking A-Z Blog Challenge. "What's that?" you ask. Check out my page here for more information and a list of all the wonderful bloggers taking part.

Recently I completed a BDSM likes and dislikes checklist. As did my current gentleman friend. I'm not recommending anyone else actually do this, to be fair. Especially this one which has about eleventy-million items on it, some of which are baffling vague.

How do I feel about "Slapping/Punching (back, buttocks, chest)"? Well, mostly I feel that there's a world of difference between being slapped on the buttocks and being punched in the chest. Your drop down list isn't really giving me nuanced enough options there, Wikiphilia. Also "panties" as a kink option? What's my experience of "panties"? Some? A lot? Expert? I mean, I wear knickers on a daily basis. After forty-odd years of knicker-wearing I feel like I should be able to count myself as as an expert. I don't think that's what they meant, though.

Happily, my friend's and my lists didn't reveal any major discrepancies in our tastes. We're both massively into spanking and happy to experiment with bondage. We already knew this about one another. Things might have become awkward if one of us had revealed that they found the idea of "human toilets" super hot.

There's nothing like going through a big fuck-off list like this one to make you realise quite how many things you're NOT into. Whole sections - Cutting, Breath Play, Humiliation - got a big fat NO from me.

The list also contained roleplay options. The "Animal Roleplay" and "Age Roleplay" sections were 'no's throughout. As were most of the options on the "General Roleplaying" list. Whore Play? Religious Scenes? Medical Scenes? Prison Scenes? Um, no thanks. Race Play? Huh? What the fuck?

(Not judging you if you are into any of the above roleplaying scenarios, by the way. I'm all about people enjoying their kinks. Well, I'm not sure about 'race play'. I might be judging you a wee bit on that one.)

But there were a couple of options on the list that I thought I might be willing to explore: "Schoolroom scenes" and "Fantasy Scenes". Those, I thought, sounded potentially interesting.

Roleplaying isn't something I've done before. Of course, you could argue that any kind of Dom/sub play is kind of role-playing. In real life, I am the least submissive person ever. I'm bolshy and argumentative and opinionated. However, in the right circumstances and with the right person, I am willing to take orders, surrender control and submit to being punished.

Could I take it further and participate in a whole roleplaying scenario? Dress up like a schoolgirl and take my punishment from a stern Headmaster? In theory, it's a marvellous idea. I haven't yet created a pie chart of all my mastubatory fantasies of the last twenty-five years (give it time) but I think "schoolgirl punishment" would have a quite a significant wedge of the pie if that chart ever did get created.

I am a terrible actress though. And, goodness knows, this whole BDSM spanking malarky is silly enough as it is. A clearly middle-aged woman pretending to be an errant schoolgirl is a whole world of extra silliness. It reminds me of this scene from 'Nighty Night' where Julia Davis is trying to get Mark Gatiss to participate in a teacher/schoolgirl roleplaying scene. (This scene isn't in any way sexy by the way. I do admire Gatiss's adherence to his 'schoolteacher' role in trying to explain Ox Bow lakes, though.)

"Oxbow lakes are the residue of rivers which used to flow around rocky outcrops..."

The suggestions offered by the Wikiphilia checklist for Fantasy Roleplay were "pirates, aliens, vampires, bikers..." OK, sure. Not sure any of those would make the pie chart, but why not? In fact, why not combine the lot and have a pirate alien vampire bikers scenario? Or we could have a scene in which we roleplay Firefly's Malcolm Reynolds giving Space-Whore, Inara a damn good spanking after an argument about shuttle rental renewal?

Because, you know, I look JUST like Morena Baccharin.
Apart from all the ways, I really, really don't.
Or maybe a Tenth Doctor/Donna Noble spanking scenario? Or maybe, going back to the classics, acting out the the "Badly Done, Emma" scene from Jane Austen's Emma and including the Knightley-administered spanking that the original scene was lacking?

I doubt I could carry it off, to be fair. Although the 'vampires' suggestion from Wikiphilia, does remind me of this scene from Buffy the Vampire Slayer where bad-boy sexy vampire, Spike, having developed a unhealthy crush on Buffy, encourages his vampire girlfriend, Harmony, to indulge in a bit of "Vampire Slayer" roleplay. Hey, whatever gets you through the night, sweetheart.

"I'm gonna stake you so much with the slaying powers that I have!"

I doubt any of those particular scenarios are going to be played out in my living room any time soon. I'm not ruling roleplay out, though. It could be silly, it could be fun, it might potentially be very, very hot in an altogether kinky-as-fuck way. (And I am very much in favour of kinky fun.) And with a lovely, understanding Dom, the worst that would probably happen is a massive fit of the giggles and one of us saying "Yeah, this isn't really working, is it? Cup of tea?"

Drinking tea is my NUMBER ONE fetish, obviously.
I'm surprised Wikiphilia left it off the checklist.
So go on, people, spill the beans. Have you done much roleplay? Do you all have a bunch of schoolgirl/nurse/Smurfette outfits at the back of your closets that you bring out for kinky roleplaying scenarios on special occasions? Share your experiences. And, most importantly, reassure me I'm not weird for considering it.

Kissing Part 2

This is my 'K' post for the Spanking A-Z Blog Challenge. "What's that?" you ask. Check out my page here for more information and a list of all the wonderful bloggers taking part.

A year ago when I undertook this insane Spanking A to Z blog challenge for the first time, I wrote a blog post called K is for Kissing.

As I said at the time "I've compiled a list of some of my favourite on-screen kisses. I've stuck to M/F tongue wrestling to keep the numbers down. I think M/M and F/F kiss scenes require a whole separate post of their own."

If you've been waiting with bated breath for the last twelve months to find out what my favourite same sex onscreen kisses are, then your time has come at last! Hurray! Celebrate by grabbing the nearest same sex person and sticking your tongue down their throat in an enthusiastic manner. (Only if you're sure they would be up for it, mind. Otherwise it could be awkward. And illegal.)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I've spoken before about my huge and enthusiastic love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My heterosexual kissing blog post featured Cordelia and Doyle's kiss from the Buffy spin-off series Angel. I also mentioned Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike kissing at the time because, seriously, there was some really good kissing on that show.

And you know what else that TV programme about a teenage vampire slayer had? Best lesbian couple EVER. Willow and Tara bonded through their shared skills in witchcraftery in Season Four. And then they fell in love. It was beautifully and understatedly handled. There was never an after-school special "Sometimes a girl might develop feelings for another girl and THAT'S OK' vibe about it. They were two lovely people who were obviously right for one another and it just sort of blended seamlessly into a show full of vampires, demons, killer robots, Government-created Frankenstein-y monsters and the like.

It's surprising to realise that the first onscreen kiss between Willow and Tara didn't happen until the Season Five episode, "The Body". That was a grim episode which dealt with the entirely mundane-and-not-due-to-any-mythological-monsters death of Buffy's mom, Joyce.

The kiss was necessary and sincere. Tara was reassuring her panicked and grief-stricken lover who was trying to process her feelings about the death of her best friend's mother.

And some viewers still complained about it. Because some people are awful.

Doctor Who / Torchwood

The first time we meet Captain Jack Harkness is in the Doctor Who episode The Empty Child, which takes place during the Second World War. The Doctor's assistant, Rose is in a perilous position hanging on for dear life and Harkness is checking her out with his binoculars. "Nice bottom," he says. His companion, Algy, looks a little put out by the remark. "I say, old man. There's a time and a place," he says.

Captain Jack rushes off to save the damsel in distress but not before telling Algy "You've got an excellent bottom too" and slapping him on the arse. Algy looks incredibly happy about it.

It's a wonderful introduction to the character of Captain Jack, establishing his bisexuality in about four lines. And this is in a programme aired at tea time and aimed at children, don't forget. Because the wonderful  Russell T "Queer as Folk" Davies was the man responsible for making Doctor Who cool again. And as well as being one of the best television writers ever, he is a homosexual man who loves to include all kinds of gayness into everything he writes. God bless him.

There was a spin-off Doctor Who series called Torchwood. ('Torchwood' being an anagram of 'Doctor Who'.) Torchwood was basically "Doctor Who for Grown Ups". Of course, grown-ups already watch Doctor Who. (Or at least those with any sense do.) The first couple of seasons of Torchwood were basically "Doctor Who with more swearing and nakedness" and then it became "Doctor Who if everything was grimmer and more awful and all the good people died."

And throughout all the threats to the planet from hostile aliens (and they're literally always at it. It's a good thing we've got Torchwood), flamboyant, egocentric Captain Jack Harkness fell in love with his sweet, quiet Welsh co-worker Ianto Jones. There were some wonderful kisses between the two of them. Because you'd think Ianto would be all subservient to the time travelling immortal future-man who is also technically his boss. But, no, when it comes to kissing, Ianto was very good at taking the lead.

Cucumber

And while we're talking about the lovely and amazing Russell T "Queer as Folk" Davies, my absolute favourite television programme so far this year has been Cucumber (and its sister programmes Banana and Tofu.)

The story focuses mostly on middle-aged Henry who splits with his long-term lover, Lance, in the first episode following a disastrous date night and then Henry's life gets progressively weirder. It was a gripping story which I sometimes had to watch through my fingers as parts of it were too heartbreaking to watch without the protection that partially splayed fingers can provide.

I was reluctant to include the scene below because it's not really a gay kiss. The lads making out to Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl" are all straight. It's a wonderful scene though. I love how the boys wipe their mouths the moment Henry stops recording. Poor conflicted Henry, heartbroken and adrift watching two heterosexual youngsters (one of whom is his nephew) pretending to be gay in the pursuit of internet fame.

"To be honest, if you really want to know, when I'm watching this sort of thing... I want a kiss."

Oh, and if you are wondering where the names Cucumber, Banana and Tofu come from, they are a reference to the Erection Hardness Scale which goes from Grade 1 (tofu) through Grade 2 (peeled banana), Grade 3 (unpeeled banana) up to Grade 4 (cucumber). I think it's nice to be able to be able to put a number (and a foodstuff) to these things, don't you?

Blue Is The Warmest Colour

Abdellatif Kechiche's 2013 film was marketed as a lesbian love story between Adèle (Adèle Exarchopoulos) and Emma (Léa Seydoux). And while there is a lot of lesbian love stuff here, I think the original French title - La vie d'Adèle chapitres 1 et 2 describes the film better. It's a coming of age story in which Adèle grows up, finds herself, falls in love and then fucks it all up royally. There are plenty of kisses (and a lot of sex) but I think the most memorable kiss takes place near the end of the film when Adèle and Emma meet up in a cafe post breakup. Emma has moved on with her life and is in a new relationship. Adèle however is desperate to reconnect and attempts to seduce Emma into taking her back. It's a painful scene to watch because I think we can all relate to it. Wanting something so much that any sense of pride goes out of the window.

It's also a difficult scene to watch because of all the snotty crying. I watched the whole scene just wishing that Adèle would use a tissue or her sleeve or something to stem the flow of mucus dribbling towards her mouth and oh my God, woman. Don't lick it!

There were reportedly walkouts at some showings of this film. I assume it was all the snot rather than the explicit lesbian sex that upset people.

The Full Monty

Annoyingly, I can't find a picture of the implied kiss that happens between Lomper and Guy but it definitely happened. Well in a an off-screen sort of a way. Lovely as the blossoming relationship is between the two minor characters, I actually thought the rest of the characters' acceptance of two of their number starting a gay relationship, the least plausible part of this otherwise realistic look at life on the unemployment line.

Not that I'm complaining. I love the bit when Mark Addy and Robert Carlyle say "Nowt so queer as folk" and then get an inappropriate bout of the giggles at Lomper's mum's funeral.

You remember the almost-kiss! It happened just after this bit!
Brookside

Soap Operas tend to lead the way in pushing the boundaries of what it's acceptable to show on prime time telly. I presume this is more due to the fact that the writers start each meeting by asking themselves "Right, what haven't we done yet?" rather than from any sense of crusading justice but the upshot is still the same.

The first pre-watershed lesbian kiss on British television took place in 1994 on now defunct Liverpool-based soap, Brookside. When Beth (Anna Friel) and Margaret (Nicola Stephenson) were shown locking lips, there was quite a bit of brouhaha and "What about the children"-ing in the tabloid newspapers, because, god knows, in a show that depicted domestic violence, murder, armed sieges and rape, who knows what the sight of seeing two women sharing an embrace could have on fragile young minds?

The first male same-sex kiss on mainstream television happened five years before in Eastenders in what was described by The Sun as a "love scene between two yuppie poofs". Because The Sun is the very definition of class.

So have things moved on much in the last twenty years or so? Probably. Although to be honest, it wasn't all that easy to think of examples of lesbian kisses when compiling this list. I couldn't think of any examples off the top of my head of mainstream television or films depicting middle aged women getting off with one another. The media certainly seems happier if all the participants in a lesbian relationship are young and Anna Friel-levels of gorgeous. Where are depictions of women who look like me getting some same sex on-screen tongue action?

I have probably missed all kinds of obvious examples. Ellen DeGeneres and Friends' Susan and Carol come to mind. Let me know what your favourite same sex onscreen kisses are in the comments below.

V is for Vampires

This post is part of the Spanking A-Z Blog Challenge. What's that I hear you ask? Check out my page here for more information.
Despite my worryingly obsessive fangirl love for Renee Rose, there are still a few books of hers which I haven’t read. I am working my way through them now because astonishingly, even the prolific Renee can’t quite manage to write books faster than I can read them.

I recently read Deathless Love having had it quite near the bottom of my to-read list (although still above the Black Ops one which sounds a bit weird, frankly.) There were a couple of reasons I had delayed reading it for so long. It’s partly because it’s not historical and I always think I’m not going to enjoy modern-day spanking romance quite so much. There’s too much damn consent required you see, everyone needs to be on the same page discipline-wise.

Mostly though it was the vampires. I don’t know what happened between me and vampires. I was a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer back in the day and spent many a private hour enjoying 18-rated fantasies involving bad boy vampire, Spike.
Angel was adorable and all but he would have definitely been friendzoned, you know?
So what put me off them? I don’t think it was just the Twilights. There are some really great fictional vampires out there. Buffy, The Lost Boys, Being Human – all great. I never really warmed to Anne Rice’s vampires though . Hell, even Bram Stoker’s original book was quite annoying. Particularly when all the characters got together to compare notes. I think I lost patience with it at that point.

Count Duckula is, of course, totally awesome
I think the problem with vampires is that they’re so inconsistent. No two legends the same and each modern adaptation has to mess with it further. So Buffy’s vampires couldn’t use mirrors but they could be photographed, in Being Human, they could neither be photographed nor filmed whereas Twilight had vampires that could be both photographed and seen in mirrors.

Sometimes vampires can’t go out in daylight at all, sometimes it’s only direct sunlight that’s a problem, others blithely state “it’s a myth that vampires can’t go out in the sunlight” and leave it at that. Of course, some vampires fucking sparkle in the sunlight because apparently their author got them muddled up with fairies or something.

Dracula in Bram Stoker’s novel needed to sleep in the soil of his homeland which is a detail you never see used in modern vampire stories. Presumably because it’s sort of stupid.

Renee’s vampires (and I hope she will forgive me for saying this) are quite Twilight-y.  They eschew human blood, they hang around in a little ersatz family group, they’re beautiful, they’re wealthy, they worry about their souls and Gods place for them in the universe. The threat from the outside older badder vampire is also quite similar to the plotline across the Twilight books.

They don’t twinkle though. Thank god.

Fox and Dom from Deathless Love. Almost possibly. Dom's on the right.
That said, I really, really enjoyed the book (and the follow-up short story ‘Deathless Discipline’). The heroine, Kate, a singer and musician is fun and super-cool. I would have totally wanted to hang out with her when I was in my early twenties. Well, I’d quite like to hang out with her now but I am lot less cool now than I used to be. I could have done with Kate being a bit more freaked out by finding out that some of her best friends were mythological creatures of the night. Or at least if she was going to be quite so nonchalant about it, incorporate some kind of “Ah, it all makes much more sense now” light bulb moment.

Dom, the owner of a club where Kate’s band plays, is a suave, sexy vampire. His super vampy powers of smell enable him to know whenever Kate is turned on which is a bit eww but presumably very handy for the gentleman concerned. He’s able to detect Kate’s penchant for being spanked just by uttering the word ‘spank’ in her presence.

They don’t mess about once Dom has decided to give Kate the spanking she wants. Dom tries to keep his distance but given that he’s a hero in a romance novel, you can guess how well that works out for him.

And my goodness but the sex between the two of them is hot. There’s a scene where the protagonists have sex three times in close succession because the hero is having a really bad day (like life-threateningly bad) and apparently roughly taking his girlfriend in a variety of positions is the best way to de-stress. Man, I loved that scene. I’ve had to re-read it several times now for, y’know, research purposes.

“Can you stand it one more time?” can be a very sexy sentence in the right context.

So despite my reservations, I did really enjoy this book. The vampirism added to rather than detracted from the story and I quite liked Dom’s background, knowing that he had been a nobleman in Renaissance Italy and a mobster in prohibition America.

Do I want Renee to write any more stories regarding the sexy vampire trio? Well, if I say ‘no’, it’s only because in an ideal world, Renee would spend the bulk of her time writing her delicious Regency Westerfield books. Because, even after Deathless Love, I’ll still choose cotillions and corsets over immortal bloodsuckers. And I really need to know what's in store for Kitty Westerfield’s friend, Wynn. I think there needs to be a sexy man with strong views on discipline somewhere in her future.

There you go, Renee. I made you a cover. You just need to do the words now.

K is for Kissing

This post is part of the Spanking A-Z Blog Challenge. What's that I hear you ask? Check out my page here for more information.
Kissing's great isn't it? It's a bit like sex only you don't need to get undressed to do it and people don't call the police if you do it in public. It's even allowed in children's films. PG Sex. The sexy kind of kissing, obviously, because that's the sort of kissing we're interested in here. This is a romance blog after all.

I've compiled a list of some of my favourite on-screen kisses. I've stuck to M/F tongue wrestling only for the list to keep the numbers down. I think M/M and F/F kiss scenes require a whole separate post of their own.

The Kiss (1896)

The world's first onscreen kiss. The 47 second film directed by William Heise for Thomas Edison's studios wasn't originally going to be publicly distributed. It  was intended to demonstrate how well film could handle close-ups. The public lapped it up though. I particularly love the part just before the kiss where the guy twiddles his moustache in preparation. I may give the hero of my next book a moustache just so I can have him do some pre-snogging twiddling.

There was a bit of an outcry at the time with one critic calling it "absolutely disgusting". It seems like a bit of an overreaction but then these days we have Celebrity Love Island and Two Girls, One Cup so maybe the guy could just spot a thin end of a wedge when he saw one.

Breakfast Club

The relationship's never going to last. I don't think they even like one another that much but it's a great kiss none-the-less. The best 80's bad boy from the best 80's movie. Why did none of the detentions I had at secondary school finish up like this?

Angel - "Hero"

There are plenty of great kisses in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That time Buffy kissed Angel just before sending him to hell. Buffy and Spike's first kiss at the end of the musical episode, "Once More With Feeling". But the very best kiss in the Buffyverse (and yes I hate myself a tiny bit for typing that)  happened in the spin-off series, Angel. Half-demon Doyle kisses Cordelia just before sacrificing himself to save the world. The scene was made even more poignant by the fact that actor Glenn Quinn was already dead by the time I watched this so there was no doubt that the character was never, ever coming back.

Son of the Sheik

Rudolph Valentino's kisses famously used every film inch that the censors would allow. His scenes with Vilma Banky in this film blur the lines between consensual and non-consensual kissing while he sultrily glowers for all he's worth. You can see why women went nuts for him.

Friends

Don't pretend like you didn't care. You cared. We all cared, Ross finally got the girl of his dreams and they live happily ever after. For a bit until it was all off. And then on again. And then off again. And then, finally, inexplicably on.

Emma

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeremy Northam star in my favourite adaptation of my favourite book by my favourite author, Douglas McGrath's 1996 film stayed pretty close to Austen's original text. Except for the kissing bit. No way would Austen permit Knightley and Emma to snog the faces off one another in public.

Press Gang

This last one is my absolutely favourite but unless you are from the UK and pretty much exactly the same age as me, the chances of it meaning anything to you at all are pretty small.

Press Gang was a children's television show written by Doctor Who and Sherlock's Stephen Moffat in the late '80s. It was about a bunch of teens who ran the Junior Gazette newspaper. Julia Salwalha played Lynda, the editor and Dexter Fletcher was a super-cool wise-cracking American who pursued uptight Lynda throughout the first couple of series. The "will they / won't they?" dynamic played out between the pair of them and finally they DID! (Kiss, that is. This was a kid's show.) I was so happy about it, I did a bit of a dance round the living room.

I can't find the clip on YouTube but their dialogue from that scene is pretty much permanently seared into my brain anyway.
Lynda: I don't want you to get the wrong idea about this kiss.
Spike: Absolutely. This is just a platonic kiss between friends.
Lynda (smiling): See, I knew you would get the wrong idea. Spike, you're shaking.
Spike: Nah, I'm steady as a rock. It's just the earth that's moving.
Oh my god, he was just so perfect.
At least this is how I remember it. If you recall differently, let me know and we can have a long detailed discussion about it. I'll be mostly saying "Spike was so dreeeeamy!" and humming the theme tune.

So what are your favourite on-screen kisses? Let me know in the comments below.

Sex with Buffy

The world's first motion picture,  L'Arrivée d'un Train à la Ciotat  was first shown to cinema audiences in 1895. It was quickly followed a year later by the world's first porn film. Because basically, mankind looks at a shiny new invention and thinks, how can we make it more about sex?

I didn't get online until the late 1990s (due to being broke rather than any reluctance to embrace new technologies) and the speed at which I embraced the technological wonder of the world wide web as a medium for smut was equally as rapid.

'Spanking' wasn't the first thing I typed into whatever crazy old worlde non-Google search engine I was using back then, It was, actually, "Hattytown". This was a TV show which, whenever I mentioned it, brought no recognition from whoever I was speaking to. I was beginning to think I'd dreamed it. The Internet backed me up and secured its place in my heart as a nostalgia peddler.

'Spanking' probably wasn't the second thing either but it was definitely on the short list.

And once, I did start looking, it was clear that the Internet was a truly marvellous invention indeed. One of the first images I remember finding was this Van Heusen's shirt ad.

Oh, yes. I thought. There are riches to be found here. Because one one person's outdated 1950's clothing ad is another person's porn.

I've never liked actual porn to be honest. Once there are real people involved, I think embarrassment outweighs any titillation. If it's going to be visual then drawings can be nice - I have a particular fondness for all those 1950s spanking cartoons - but ideally I want my porn to come via the written word.

Discovering the world of Fan Fiction was a breakthrough. Finding out that there were whole swathes of people who would dedicate time to writing scenarios in which other people's fictional characters shagged - and occasionally spanked - one another was a revelation. Although God knows, how many hours I spent reading the stuff.

I was a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan so pretty much all the fan fiction I read was Buffy-related. It varied hugely of course. A lot of it was pretty much unreadable. Some of it was fantastic though.

When I started thinking about Buffy fanfic, the first name which sprang to mind was Nautibitz. Terrible pen name but great writer. I have no idea what she is doing with her time now but I hope she is still writing in some other capacity and under a less daft-sounding name. Unless, of course, Nautibitz actually was her real name, in which case I take back everything I said.

I was delighted to find that all her stuff is neatly archived and still available for anyone who wants to check it out - www.nautibitz.com. It probably helps if you're a Buffy fan. Not least, because it helps you appreciate just how spot on she gets the voices of all the characters. All her stuff was about Spike and Buffy getting together. The two characters eventually DID get together in the show in Season 6 but it was rubbish, quite frankly. They should have got Nautibitz to write those episodes. She'd have nailed it perfectly.

Here's an extract from my favourite story In Heat:

She sat up, the dream before her in all its Technicolor detail. A sex dream.
A dream of sex.
Starring her ...and Spike.
She felt her inner muscles clench and release.
"Oh," she said shakily, riding out the last exquisite wave of her very first multiple orgasm.
Suddenly, the door to her room flew open. Spike, fully dressed, stood there panting. "What's wrong?"
She stared at him aghast, paralyzed with... embarrassment? Or was it lust? Her voice cracked a hoarse "Huh?"
He looked around the room, bewildered. "You yelled my name not two seconds ago. Sounded panicked. I was downstairs, and..." He focused on her moonlit form and his body language loosened. "You're naked."
She looked down at her bare breasts and jerked the sheet up. Her mind tried to work frantically. "I had a dream."
He moved towards her, sensing something... interesting. "What kind of dream, exactly?"
"No kind!" she cried. "No kind of dream. A bad, bad--"
He came closer.
"Just-- Don't..." She held up her hand, Supremes-style. "Go!"
His nostrils flared. There was a fascinating blend of fluids on that hand. "Go? ...Or don't go?"
Buffy took a deep breath, gathering her wits and her resolve. "Go. Please go."
The room was heavy with her arousal. The last thing he wanted to do was leave. "You sure?"
"Spike!" Her voice cracked again.
He chuckled softly. "Alright, Slayer. But you better tell me all about this dream in the morning."
Lifting a brow, he added, "Smells like fun."
